21 Day Camping Safari: Lusaka - Lusaka

Itinerary
Day 1: Lusaka
Arrive at camp and rest after your flight.
Day 2: Lower Zambezi
After a leisurely breakfast we head for our next camp which is on the Zambezi
River. To get to the campsite we have to cross the River Kafue by pontoon.
When at camp you can watch the river from the bar with cold drink in hand
or maybe take a dip in the pool.
Day 3: Lower Zambezi
After breakfast its time for a morning canoe safari (3 HOURS). This is a
great way to see the river and its wildlife, looking out for elephants and
hippos. Back to camp for lunch and relax before you go on a sunset boat
cruise, arriving back for dinner.
Day 4: Lower Zambezi
Same as above. (Optional extra try fishing ) maybe catch dinner!
Day 5: Mana Pools National Park
Today we cross the border into Zimbabwe and head to Mana Pools National
Park. We set up camp on the rivers edge. Animals are normally in the campsite
so care must be taken at all times.
Day 6: Mana Pools National Park
Game drives are the order of the day in this beautiful park, on the look
out for big cats and wild dogs.
Day 7: Mana Pools National Park
After breakfast we are back out on a game drive following the many tracks
in the park, back to camp for lunch and then out again looking for more
wild animals.
Day 8: Lake Kariba
Drive to Lake Kariba, camping on the edge of the lake.
Day 9 - 11: Lake Kariba (houseboat)
Today we board our houseboat and take to the water for 3 days. Mooring along
the lakeshore, watching the elephants and other wildlife and birdlife coming
to drink. Tender boats take you up the many small channels to get closer
to the wildlife.
(Fishing rods available).
Day 12: Monze
Today we cross the border back in Zambia, crossing over the Kariba Dam,
and make our way to Monze and our next campsite.
Day 13: Livingstone
We continue our drive to Livingstone on a very bumpy road. Arrive at our
campsite where showers await. Rest of the day to explore Livingstone.
Day 14: Livingstone
Today we go to Victoria Falls on the Zambian side and then spend some time
at the curio stands for a little shopping! Sunset river cruise before dinner.
Day 15 - 17: Hwange National Park
Crossing back into Zimbabwe we head for Hwange National Park. Spending our
first night at Main Camp and game viewing in this area then for the next
2 nights we move to another camp within the park, camping next to a waterhole,
game drives each day.
Day 18: Vic Falls, Zimbabwe
Today we drive to Vic Falls where you can have time to visit the craft markets
before we cross back over the border into Zambia.
Day 19 - 20: Livingstone
Spending 2 days here for you to do as many optional extras as you like.
Including: Helicopter rides, Microlight flights, bungee jumping!, abseiling,
gorge swing, canoe trips, water rafting, horse riding, elephant riding,
quad bikes, or maybe another safari to Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park.
Day 21: Lusaka
After breakfast it’s a long drive back to Lusaka where the trip ends.
